Coffee in the Sea Cave

February 25, 2015

Justin and I started the day with a short spin down to the Donahue Sea Cave where we made coffee over his Vargo Wood Stove. The Sea Cave is really cool. It was formed over 10,000 years ago by wave action when this whole area was a sea - the Champlain Sea. It is situated in a marshy area that, during the summer, is only accessible by boat. In the winter, however, it is accessible by ski, snowshoe, ice skate, or fat bike. The snow pack is super hard down there right now so we took our Surly Krampi . (Please excuse the cell phone photos)
